Nonce error in PAL SDK with upgrade to 2.6

Error generating programmatic access nonce: Error Domain=PALNonceErrorDomain Code=202 "Nonce could not be generated." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Nonce could not be generated.

Several observations:

1) Upgraded to 2.6

2) Nonce is created when using simulator

3) When using appleTV for simulation the nonce is not created.

4) AppleTV is on tvOS 17

Just tested on another AppleTV that is version 16.6 and it does not work either.   So seems as if the problem only occurs on actual devices.

I understand you are having an issue when upgrading to PAL tvOS v2.6.0. This is only happening on physical tvOS devices, and not the Xcode simulator. 

The reply from Apple is correct, we should be able to address this issue here.

Hi David,

I haven't been able to duplicate the error you described with PAL Nonce generation in a basic sample app. Everything seems to be working normally.
Can you send us a zipped sample app that shows this issue when run?
