tvOS IMA SDK + number of ads label

Hello all!

I am trying to find any information about is number of ads label (like "Ad 1 of 4") supported on tvOS IMA SDK or not. We can see such information on most other platforms (like iOS) but I don't see it on tvOS during ad breaks. 

Is this functionality exist at all on tvOS?

I believe you are referring to adpod info, is that correct? In which case, same methods are available for use in tvOS SDK like adPosition() or podIndex(). Please refer to this documentation for reference.

Hi, Michael! 

Thank you for your response it was helpful. But my question was about UI part of the IMA SDK. 

For iOS we have out of the box label on the screen during ads showing a label with a text like "Ad 1 of 5". But for tvOS I dont see any text like that on the screen during ads. 

So my question was do we have such functionality for tvOS out of the box or I should use methods you mentioned above to implement it by myself.

Yes, I believe by following our implementation guide for basic app, you should see similar behavior for tvOS. You may also check out our sample apps and use it for testing purposes or as reference for your own implementation. If by following this you still encounter the same behavior, please share with us the screen recording of the behavior, tvOS SDK version and device used for testing.

how about live DAI? Will countdown or/and ad number be presented when ad break starts? Any additional development is needed?

I am checking Advanced Example with live content and it doesn't show any UI while ad is playing. Is that correct? tvOS does not provide any UI for live DAI?

Thank you for chiming in.

 

UI elements are unavailable in tvOS. This property may also be ignored for AdSense/AdX ads.

 

@Sergey, if this is also what you are looking for, I'm afraid that it is not possible. However, you may still use the method I shared previously for getting adpod information.
