When displaying an ad to ios devices then the device is muted, the google ad plays audio anyway.
When I've retrieved an ad is there a way to programmatically mute the ad audio or should the ad already be muted if the device is?

Hi Elliot,

Currently there isn't a supported method to programmatically mute the ad's audio.

When my device is muted, the ad's audio was also muted, so I didn't hear any sound coming from the app.  Are you able to replicate this issue in our sample app? If your implementation differs from ours, could you elaborate on the differences?

Thanks,

Actually the sample app wasnt loading ads for me.
Regardless, if we have no programatic control over the volume of the ads, then our implementation shouldn't have any impact over the volume of the ads.
Could this be an apple problem?

Hi Elliot,

That is correct - your implementation shouldn't have any impact on the volume of the ads.  I believe this is more of a platform limitation scenario we are seeing here - basically the ad's volume should be controlled by the device.  If you have reliable steps that can reproduce this scenario, let us know and we'd be happy to take a look further.
