Regarding IMA SDK Cross origin issue on http://localhost/

Hi Support Team, 

Can you please review the issue below? I am not able to see pre roll ads on my development environment localhost and giving below error.

It was working fine a few days back but today it is not working. After spending time on debugging it finally I have downloaded sample files from google latest version "https://github.com/googleads/videojs-ima/releases/tag/v2.3.0" and checked on localhost still the same issue and below is screenshot for your reference. 

Can you please advise if there are any changes in Google Ima SDK?

The Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy header has been ignored, because the URL's origin was untrustworthy. It was defined either in the final response or a redirect. Please deliver the response using the HTTPS protocol. You can also use the 'localhost' origin instead. See https://www.w3.org/TR/powerful-features/#potentially-trustworthy-origin and https://html.spec.whatwg.org/#the-cross-origin-opener-policy-header.

Hi Sunil,

Thank you for contacting us.

Kindly provide the following information for further investigation privately via reply to author option : 

• Ad Tag Url 
• ad server to which requests are being sent.

Kindly refer to Cross-Origin-Resource-Sharing (CORS) for VAST and contact ad server if they does not set the CORS headers.

Hi Sunil,

IMA SDK validates  the secure URL request.
I would suggest to use live server tools or use your own secure server for development purpose.

Thanks for your prompt response. Can you please suggest if this has changed recently? Because 2 weeks ago it was working fine for the development environment i.e http://localhost but now it's not working. Also is it possible to give me alerts and updates about changes in IMA SDK?

No, it hasn’t changed, try to reload. You can find the IMA SDK updates in the release history.

Hi Sunil,

I am also facing the same error. To bypass this issue, you need to:

1. Go to chrome://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure
2. Add http://imasdk.googleapis.com
3. Set "Insecure origins treated as secure" to Enabled
4. Restart Google Chrome
