Regarding YouTube Video play in IMA SDK as preroll/midroll ads not working

Hi Support Team, 

I have received an adTag in which Google video has been scheduled as an ad video which needs to be rendered in ima sdk html5 video player but it is not supported. Can you please check the URL below and advise why this is not working.

Hey Sunil,

It looks like you are trying to load wrong media file URL. Currently It is loading you tube video https://youtu.be/x6vVAwho8Zs and is not compatible for IMA SDK to load you tube page.

Example: I've change your VAST media youtube url to this URL  http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/sample/BigBuckBunny.mp4
Also changed the duration as well to 00:09:56 and copied the whole VAST xml response and played in IMA VSI. Ads are loading perfectly.

Incorrect media  file:       
<MediaFile id="GDFP" delivery="progressive" width="1" height="1" type="video/mp4" bitrate="1" scalable="true" maintainAspectRatio="true"><![CDATA[https://youtu.be/x6vVAwho8Zs]]></MediaFile>

Correct media file :
<MediaFile id="GDFP" delivery="progressive" width="1" height="1" type="video/mp4" bitrate="1" scalable="true" maintainAspectRatio="true"><![CDATA[[http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/sample/BigBuckBunny.mp4]]></MediaFile>

I would suggest to configure your youtube video URL to actual media URL then you will be able to load ads with IMA SDK.

Hi Support Team, 

Thanks for your valuable time and support on this. If youtube video as a media is not supporting then why google team saying that this is supportable. Do you have any update on this internally if there is any update from the GAM team? 

Also do you have any emailer for updates about IMA Sdk? If yes please give me the link to join for all updates on a regular basis.

Hey Sunil,

I saw your VAST and it looks like you are trying to load full you tube page which is not a video type. VAST should contain valid video files.
It supports YouTube-hosted creatives only in HTML5 v3.

Kindly refer to YouTube-hosted assets for more detail.
