Creating Custom AD ui for TVOS

Hi Team,

We wanted to check if we can create a custom AD Ui  similar to what is described here: https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/android/client-side/custom-ui

for the following TV platforms

1. Android TV

2. Apple TV

3. CTV (Samsung tizen and LG WebOS platform)

If there is any documentation, kindly share.

Unfortunately, as mentioned here, the IMA SDKs do not support changing the layout, size, or content of UI elements. For more details on UI elements, see AdsManager.uiElements.

Hi,

We see the URL https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/android/client-side/custom-ui allows us to create a custom Ad layout for Android. Can we implement the same for TV platforms (Android and TVOs)?

We only want to customize some of the UI elements like ad progress, ad counter etc. and not the "Skip Ad" or "Learn More" buttons.

I understand that you are referring to this guide (https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/android/client-side/custom-ui) for custom UI in Android. With this, could you confirm if you were able to successfully implement your own custom UI using the IMA SDK for Android? I am asking this since as mentioned previously, the IMA SDKs do not support changing the layout, size, or content of UI elements. Please note that the only elements that are configurable are the COUNTDOWN and AD_ATTRIBUTION elements, which can be toggled on and off, more information here. 

However, if the above guide fits your use case, we suggest that you try reaching out to your account manager regarding the availability of this feature for the TV platforms you mentioned since the documentation for such is not publicly available.
