iOS SDK 3.14.5 Fatal Exception: UIViewControllerHierarchyInconsistency

Hello IMA SDK Team,

We've been experiencing a huge crash spike in Firebase due to this occurrence:

Fatal Exception: UIViewControllerHierarchyInconsistency

A view can only be associated with at most one view controller at a time! View <IMAWKWebView: 0x1075ecfd0; frame = (0 0; 374 210.333); hidden = YES; opaque = NO; autoresize = W+H; layer = <CALayer: 0x280870220>> is associated with <IMAWebUIViewController: 0x1132e7f60>. Clear this association before associating this view with <IMAWebUIViewController: 0x11325a880>.

We tried to reproduce the issue but, unfortunately, this appears to be random.

What we did notice is that it's prone to happen if we return the app to foreground in a screen where we display IMA ads, but it's still random, with no clear connection between cases.

What we tried so far:

• Update to the latest version, 3.14.5 (at the time of writing)
• Downgraded to 3.12.1 (waiting on results from this)

We searched for answers in other posts, but there isn't anything conclusive.

The said issue has been previously reported to us but was already fixed on the v3.14.4 of the SDK. We are limited on what we can do here if the issue is not found to be reproducible on your end or on our sample apps. Should you encounter the same issue again, it would be best to share with us the sample project implementation where the issue is reproducible along with the screen recording of the behavior and the steps to reproduce it.
