Hi IMA team,

Is there any way to set a new value to the WTA param passed as part of the Google IMA Ad tag to the Ad server?

We want to override the default value and pass a new value in the ad tag, like set wta=1

Please let us know if this is possible on all platforms.

Thank you for contacting the IMA SDK Support team.

As per the VAST ad tag parameters documentation, the WTA parameter indicates the player’s support for ad badging and is automatically managed by the IMA SDK.
Currently, there is no supported method to override or manually set the WTA value in the ad tag across any platform.
This behavior helps ensure compliance with Google’s personalization policies and regional regulations, including those in the EEA.
We recommend relying on the SDK’s default handling of WTA for proper ad rendering and reporting.
