GPT companion ads service not available

Hey,

we detected that companion ads are not always loaded for a few days already.

The issue can be reproduced most of the time in Firefox and Safari browser, but mostly works without issues in Chrome browser and in Safari Private window.

Console throws: 

[Warning]  [  5.002s] [ima.common.GptCompanionAdService] GPT companion ads service not available. – "" (bridge3.478.1_debug_en.html, line 922)

[Log]  [  5.003s] [ima.admanager.BaseAdManager] Could not display companion ads. – "" (bridge3.478.1_debug_en.html, line 922)

Environment:

Mac OS

Safari or Firefox browser

IMA SDK for HTML5

Vast tag

Thank you for reaching out to us. Our initial concern would be if this is a browser compatibility issue. Also have you tested using one of our samples on the browsers mentioned. As well as checking with our VSI to make sure that the tag is also fine, on the browsers in question. At the same time we would definitely ask if you can share a sample website that you have that shows this issue as well as any steps that might be needed to replicate this. Hi,

even just by opening the VSI page, you can observe the problem with the GPT companion ads service not being available. I tried on both older version VSI and newer version VSI. After 5s you can see "GPT companion ads service not available." in browser console output.

I also tried on JW Player and companion ads work there with the same test tag.

When working with "YouTube Player for iframe Embeds", I have had this problem continuously ("GPT companion ads service not available."), apparently this is a problem that occurs temporarily when trying to load advertising, I had a problem using Mac OS/IBM PC and Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox that suddenly worked without having made any changes.

This despite the IMA SDK Team previously commenting that it is a "browser compatibility issue"

Could you please provide further details regarding the nature of the issue? Additionally, confirm the specific platform type in use and clarify whether the SDK integration type is client-side or DAI. Also, have you tested using one of our samples on the browsers mentioned? As well as checking with our VSI to make sure that the tag is also fine. Kindly provide the below for further investigation so that we can have full visibility of your implementation:

• Steps to replicate the issue
