Receiving VPAID / CORS errors on IOS

We started seeing cross domain errors on our player for some vpaid creatives on IOS Safari Iphone.

Error: "An unexpected error occurred within the VPAID creative. Refer to the inner error for more info."

Inner Error: message: "Error: Blocked a frame with origin \"https://tpc.googlesyndication.com\" from accessing a frame with origin \"https://imasdk.googleapis.com\"…"

But this works in the IMA test player.  I know normally the blocked frame is usually a red herring, but this seems to be causing a legit error from the vpaid creative in our case.  Any idea why that might be?  Using INSECURE vpaidMode crashes the playback and DISABLED works fine without VPAID but we would like to understand why vpaid is working on the test player but not in our case.

I eventually tracked it down to having this in the video tag: crossorigin="anonymous".

I have removed the crossorigin tag and it's back to working, but we are still curious as to why that started breaking as that was in there for a couple years now without an issue.  Did the recent releases of IMA conflict with that setting?  It seemed to affect more than just one ad.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We've used the link to your website using Safari on an iPhone and the ad plays successfully. We've monitored the network panel of the page, and we were not able to see any resource sharing failure. The cross domain errors on your player might have been caused by some issues on your network. Glad to hear that you are not seeing the issues anymore.

We are actually still struggling with this error: ( nner Error: message: "Error: Blocked a frame with origin \"https://tpc.googlesyndication.com\" from accessing a frame with origin \"https://imasdk.googleapis.com\"…" ) 

its because we need to have the crossorigin="anonymous" attribute on our video tag.  We need this attribute to make captions work correctly.  Is this something that can be fixed on IMA's side or is this an issue on the vpaid creator's side.  You can see this issue at the test link below.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We were not able to reproduce the issue using our sample app. However, we reproduced the issue using the test page link you provided. Would you consider launching your test page using a secured protocol (https) instead of a non-secured (http) as this might be the reason why IMA ad requests are blocked every time.
