Video controls on IMA SDK

Hi, 

I'm using IMA SDK 3 and want to learn how i can enable the controls (progress bar, play/pause etc) while playing ad. 

Is there any way to do it simply without using 3rd party video system like videojs or jwplayer ? 

Or should i code controls myself ?

Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, the IMA SDK for HTML5 lets you implement your own player style so that it looks different from third party libraries like JWPlayer or VideoJs. You can use the default HTML5 controls or implement your own controls. Please take a look at our AdvancedExample app and see how we implemented a play and fullscreen button. You'll also need to take a look at the documentation here if you need to implement an ad countdown (buffer).

Thanks Arnaud. I checked the advanced example for custom buttons. How can i use the default HTML5 controls on IMA ? I tried lots of way but no success. The ima uimanager allows only countdown and ad attribution. When i debug the adContainer, i see a hidden div, it includes progress bar but no way to display it via api. And my main requirement is play button and sound button.

Hi,

I just checked and noticed that because of the adContainer there is currently no way to use the HTML5 video controls with the IMA SDK for HTML5. However, you can implement your own control buttons using some HTML elements, some CSS rules and a few event listeners.
