[iOS] IMA SDK Skip Ad Event

Hi all,

For user behaviour analytics purposes I have to track when the user tap on the "Skip Ad" button.

I've implemented the logic with a switch case statement in the adsManager(_ adsManager: IMAAdsManager, didReceive event: IMAAdEvent) . 

As far as I can see in the enum IMAAdEvent , a .SKIPPED event is expected but it's never being called. I can see a .PAUSE event when the user taps on the "skip ad" button but it doesn't work to me because the .PAUSE event is being called in different cases (eg: when the user minimise the app or go to the control center).

Is there a proper way to get the tap on the "skip ad" button?

I'm using GoogleAds-IMA-iOS-SDK 3.18.4 and I've tested on different iOS versions (14, 15, 16).

With regard to your concern, can you confirm if you're using the adsManager class in your implementation? Upon checking into this documentation (https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/ios/dai/reference/Classes/IMAAdsManager#-skip), you try to use the skip for your use case. However, if this is not your using in your implementation, kindly provide us the following information below for us to further check this in our end.
