How to get Extensions nodes in ima sdk html5

Hi.

I need to get Extensions nodes from VAST xml, it is 3d part advertisement, so i am wondering if it possible to get this info from ima html5

Currently, extension nodes are not available through the IMA SDK.  I will let you know if there are any updates to this in the future.

Is there any update on this one. I have a business requirement to read extensions data from a VAST response but as I understand it is not currently possible. Would you consider adding this?

I need this update too. I need Extensions, so I'm parsing VAST files on my own, but it's not the best way.

Thank you for reaching out to us. The IMA SDK doesn't expose the extensions nodes information via its API. The Extensions nodes of the VAST XMLs are used internally by the SDK and are not exposed publicly.

The IMA SDK currently doesn't intend to expose publicly the extensions nodes information via its API. The Extensions nodes of the VAST XMLs will remain accessible internally by the SDK.

Then how we should work with such VAST XMLs (like in first message) using IMA SDK? Some advertisers put an additional functionality into extensions which IMA doesn't support.

The Extension elements were introduced to the VAST XML template so that custom XML elements are not mixed with proper VAST elements. The extension XML elements are used for purposes such as: Third Party Tracking, adding Geofence and Waterfall to the Ad. The SDK uses these information internally for tracking the ad events, applying geographic restrictions and so on, you can take a look at our Single Linear sample ad tag and see how the custom XMLs are being used.

Hi..is there anyway to get custom data from VAST xml.

I don't know how to implement this, with Extensions, Companion, Creative Ad..i can't reach none of them from IMA Android sdk.

As a sample use case i need to show some view at a specific time that is in the VAST file. Which tags are supported by IMA to put my custom data in VAST file and read it from Ad object from IMA?

Thank you for reaching out to us. The IMA SDK doesn't currently support passing custom data to the SDK through the VAST XML. However, some third-party functionalities such as the OMSDK are passing custom data through the <Extensions> element of the VAST XML. The only difference is these values are not retrievable from the IMA SDK's public API.
