Get Ad tag url of started ad.

Hi IMA 

I am playing an Ad-Pod and I have a requirement where I have to save logs of each ad being played. 

These logs may contain information like start time and end time of Ad and most importantly URL of this particular Ad which is currently playing. 

I can calculate and get start and end time of each ad in Ad Pod by implementing onAdEvent listener's states "STARTED", "COMPLETED" and "ALL_ADS_COMPLETED" .

But I haven't found any help or guidelines to get current playing Ad's URL.

Is it something IMA SDK supports? if no what would you suggest?

Hi,

The IMA SDK does not expose the ad's URL. It will not be possible to retrieve this information with the SDK's APIs.

Do you have any plans to add some support in upcoming releases of IMA Android SDK which can allow extracting currently playing ad's URL from an Ad-Pod?

If no, can you suggest some workaround to get Video Ad's URL link?

Hi Raihan,

You can get the video ad's url on the STARTED event by calling getMediaUrl()  method. I've attached the screenshot to help you get the video ad's url.
