Do we need to add PAL SDK if we are only using IMA SDK for displaying ads?

Hi,

So basically, we have already integrated Google IMA SDK and some of our Ads are now coming from a 3rd party SSAI.

We have integrated the Nonce Manager, now the confusion was to trigger PAL SDK Ad events in case we are displaying CSAI using IMA SDK? Should we or should we not?

What are the best practices when we already have IMA SDK placed with PAL.

P.S We are still learning more about the whole cycle and purpose of PAL SDK

Hi Arslan,

Thank you for contacting the IMA SDK Support team.

The Programmatic Access Libraries (PAL) are lightweight SDKs that provide discrete access to targeting signals for Google Ad Manager programmatic ads.

If you use multiple third-party solutions—for example, a third-party SSAI server calling another third-party ad server, you need to make sure the PAL SDK's encrypted nonce is forwarded to each third party. Please refer to the Send Google Ad Manager signals through third-party ad servers document for more information.

To ensure optimal tracking of playback events for your player, it's crucial to implement various event handlers. For more details on how to do this, please refer to the documentation provided on Track playback events

For further clarification, you may review the Get Started and Google sample applications using the PAL SDK documents. This document provides detailed information.
