IMA SDK & TCFV2: gdpr_consent=tcunavailable in the preroll adrequest

Hi,

we are seeing many 2.1a errors in our TCFV2 report on GAM on video prerolls adrequests.

Analyzing preroll requests via IMA SDK we are seeing that randomly the gdpr_consent is valued as "tcunavailable" in the preroll adrequest.

Our player is implementing the last version of the IMA SDK (3.411.1).

Our CMP is Quantcast.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I’ve checked the test page, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue that you are experiencing. I can see error messages but not related to 2.1a errors. For the gdpr_consent value, this seems to work as expected. Please see attached screenshots.

That being said, could you please verify if the issue still persists on your end? If yes, kindly share with us the specific ad tag that this issue is reproducible so that we can test on our end as well.

Please use the 'Reply privately to author option' when sharing the ad tag.

Hi Sherwin,

unfortunately the tcunavailable issue happens randomly, so it is possible that you didn't see the issue but the TCF error report from GAM says that we have many 2.1A errors on our video preroll:

Since we insert gdpr_consent value inside cust_params of the preroll adrequest, we tried to set also gdpr_consent parameter directly in the preroll adrequest but IMA SDK sometimes overwrite its value with tcunavailable.

In the screenshot below you can see that our gdpr_consent inside cust_params is ok, otherwise gdpr_consent parameter in the adrequest is tcunavailable.

Is there a way to say IMA SDK not to overwrite gdpr_consent so that we can fill it with always with the correct value?
