"waterfall" extnesion

Hi,

Some VASTs from GDFP have the "waterfall" extension:

<Extension type="waterfall" fallback_index="0"/>
   </Extensions>

Is this a part of the IAB standard spec, or an custom extension by Google? Can I get some details about how does it suppose to work? We are developing a player and have some clients using GDFP.

About the fallback_index attribute, is it the maximum number of fallback attempts that should be made while iterating the media files list?

Hi Ramy,

The fallback_index attribute shows the position of the current creative in the fallback response. For example: If you have two ads returned from the DFP Fallback response, the first ad(A) will have a fallback_index of 0 and the second ad(B) would be 1. This means that ad A will be prioritized at the 1st position and ad B will be prioritized at the 2nd position in a waterfall response.
