Show IMA independent of contents

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. What we would need to know is what do you mean by independent of content? To be able to show an ad with IMA you will need to have a view container which will have the ad to display it, and usually our ads are run with videos. If there is a use case that you have, can you share it with us?

Hi,

Content means audio/video stream URL. 

To show ad on a video we have to create a media source with video URI and ad URI . 

 But now my requirement is to show ads without showing any video/audio content.

Could you please elaborate more your use case here in business terms? As we are not familiar with the scenario you are trying to achieve. Are you referring to something like use of Audio ads in music apps? I am not certain if the instance of adDisplayContainer would run correctly if you left it with the adContainer alone without the videoElement, as indicated here, is this what you are trying to do?
