Content resumes before ads completion on Android

Hi Team, 
I am facing an issue in Android where content resumes before ad is completely ended. Ad overlay is visible for few seconds while content playback is happening behind it. However, working fine for IOS.
Using sample ExoPlayerExample project provided in your documentation.

Hi Raj,

I've checked your VAST file and can replicate the issue. 

Since you are utilizing skippable ads along with SIMID ads.  Which html source is  passing inside InteractiveCreativeFile

Due to some problem in HTMLResource content the player is calculating total ad time by summing up skip ad 5 + ad duration

Player time -  23
<Linear skipoffset="00:00:05">
<Duration>00:00:18</Duration>

If i remove InteractiveCreativeFile from your VAST then the thing is working perfectly and total time 18 sec will be shown.
I've also checked our SIMID sample URL but in that everything working fine and it is not utilizing the skip ads.
Looks like you are utilizing SIMID as an overlay to the media file, Which might be incorrect. 

I would suggest here to check correct the VAST . Because due to incorrect overlay placement  it is calculating player time by summing up with skip ads + total ad time which leaving ad  blank for 5 seconds at last due to this background overlay is covering in player area.

If the issue is in vast tag, then how come its working perfectly on IOS and even on html player? Need some insights on this please if there is something which platform handles on its own if thats the case. Although we can remove InteractiveCreativeFile as suggested above, but I still did not find it the perfect solution.

Hello Raj,

I do not have any updates at this time. I originally shared this with the  the ExoPlayer team, but after more tests was able to reproduce the issue in an IMA only environment. I have now shared it with the IMA team and will reply on this thread with any updates I receive.
