Hi folks,

The IAB recently made SIMID 1.2 available with improvements to with 1.1 launched non-linear support. I have been running tests in the HTML5 implementation of IMA, which claims to have SIMID support. This support does seem limited to linear SIMID only, however, with non-linear integrations resulting in

Could you clarify if there are plans to support non-linear SIMID ads, and if that support happens to be already there but doesn't follow the SIMID spec, could you share an example that can be used for testing purposes?

Thank you for contacting the IMA SDK support team.

Yes, according to the document Video features and SDK versions, there is no support for non-linear SIMID ads. To get started, see the IAB’s example on GitHub or test it yourself using this SIMID ad tag in the VSI tool. I would recommend you to follow the release notes for further updates.
