Hi

I am starting now DAI support and I was wondering what are the differences in Ad events flow compare to regular IMA DFP support.

I can see for example that ALL_ADS_COMPLETED is not fired

could you clear what events should be fired or not fires in DAI?

Hi Gilad,

Because client-side and DAI functionality are both a part of the same SDK on Android, the documentation is combined which can make it hard to differentiate between the ad events that are specific to each. It can be helpful to look at the documentation for the DAI SDK for HTML5. Because client-side and DAI are separate on HTML5, the documentation is also separate. Here is the DAI HTML5 event breakdown. The DAI events on Android are the same.

Hi
Thanks for the advice!

Wanted also to ask regarding a out of the box solution for showing the users the real stream position and duration regardless the stiched ads

In demo app after pre roll the player position will be 10 sec while actually it is position 0 and this what user actually expects.

Is there a way to get real value without decreasing the sum of cuepoints end-srart?

Hi Gilad,

It sounds like your player is displaying stream time instead of the content time. The stream time is the total time including ads, while the content time includes the content only.

The DAI SDK provides APIs to convert back and forth between the two values (link):

getContentTimeForStreamTime (double streamTime)

getStreamTimeForContentTime (double contentTime)

To solve your issue, you'll want to use  getContentTimeForStreamTime to convert that 10 to 0.
