In general, when you click on the video after the advertisement starts, you are redirected to the advertisement page.

How to block redirects in HTML5?
Any references or keywords would be appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Hi 이상철,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The redirect would depend on the Ad configuration by your ad provider. If the Ad Tag does not contain redirect, then clicking on the Ad would not result to redirecting to any landing page. You do not need to block it as this is the intended behavior of the SDK.

Let me know if you have any other concern.

Thank you for answer.

I want to implement it similar to Youtube desktop ads.

I only want the play <-> pause of the ad video to work when the video is clicked during advertisement.

But currently, when you click on the video, the ad is stopped and you are redirected to an external page.

Can't you limit the case of being redirected to the outside when you click on an existing video to a specific button? (Example: SeeMore button)

I want to prevent redirect click events that take place all over the screen.

Hi 이상철,

Thank you for responding back to us.

By this "Can't you limit the case of being redirected to the outside when you click on an existing video to a specific button? (Example: SeeMore button)" - did you mean that you want to stop redirecting to external page when clicking on See More or "Learn More" button? If that is the case, it wouldn't be possible as "Learn More" button would only show up when the Ad Tag itself have been configured for redirects/click through and you cannot disable the functionality of it as it is the intended behavior of the SDK.

To reiterate, you wouldn't have to worry regarding this if the Ad Tag you are using is not configured to have redirects or click through. In summary, it is all about Ad Tag configuration, thus it would be best to reach out to your ad provider to make sure that your VAST or Ad Tag returns non-click through ads only.

Regards,
