How to load different video preroll ads for certain videos using IMA SDK for iOS and android ?

Hi,

We have a video gallery in our iOS and android apps. These videos are loaded in JSON from our server. We have defined a DFP video preroll VAST tag url for all of them on that server. Is it possible to load different video preroll ad for each (or group videos) in the gallery? We can pass url of the video (each video has distinct url associated) as part of 'description_url' in video tag url. IS there a way to associate certain ads with certain videos by passing a parameter with the VAST url? Please advise.

Hi Kiran,

Setting up ad rules through DFP should be able to accomplish the use case that you are looking for.  Ad rules can be set up to target specific videos with the correct metadata.  You'll be able to set up an ad rule to specify what types of ads can show and how long they should run.  

As for passing a url for the 'description_url', you may want to take a look at this documentation.
