Hello. This is Steve.

I'm trying to play pre-roll ads locally using IMA SDK.
However, when url runs the video at http://localhost:8082/, the advertisement video is automatically played without any problems,
but when playing the advertisement in the domain (http://123.456.789:8082) using my IP URL, an error code of 1205 occurs.
It's the same browser with the same source, but it doesn't play automatically in one place, so I'd appreciate it if you could tell me how to play automatically.

Thank you.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reaching out to the IMA SDK Forum.

I understand that while playing Ads in the domain (http://123.456.789:8082) using your IP URL, and you have encountered an 1205 error. It seems that you have encountered an AUTOPLAY_DISALLOWED error which indicates that the browser prevented playback initiated without user interaction. That said, could you confirm if your website currently autoplays video?

You may refer to a guide for autoplay that will give the best chances for playing an ad without user interaction if allowed.

Also, for your reference on how to implement the autoplay feature during ad requests, I would suggest checking out this documentation for more information. The new Attempt to Autoplay code sample demonstrates how to attempt to autoplay a video and fall back to click-to-play if autoplay fails.

If the issue persists, then for us to investigate the issue, you may provide us the following via reply privately to author option:

  • Complete stacktrace of the error
  • Sample project implementation where the issue is reproducible (if possible, it may be derived from our sample apps with minimum modification to reproduce the behavior)
  • Steps to replicate or Screen video recording of the issue
