We are trying to understand why IMA's bridge code begins to make several requests per second to the below url during ad playback.  Chrome / PC.  It only seems to happen when the player attempts to play a second video.

https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/gen_204?feature=attributionDiv&lid=58&sdkv=h.3.191.1&e=413051065&id=ima_html5&c=294238601662576&domain=www.wsj.com

Why are there so many requests to this url?

To reproduce:
2. Let the ad play through
3. Click on another video on the right rail
4. Examine the network tab

Any help is appreciated.

Hi David,

Thank you for providing to us a sample page. I can confirm that I was able to see the same behavior when I took a look at your page. Looking into this deeper, it seems that including the AD_ATTRIBUTION Ui Element in the AdsRenderingSettings.uiElements array is what's causing this behavior. This also seems to be what you are doing in your case as indicated by the small "Ad" label on the lower-left part of the ad (see attached screenshot).

That said, I was able to replicate it on my end by modifying our sample pages to include this UI Element. Let me check with the rest of the team regarding this and get back to you once I have their official insights.

Regards,
Joshua Lagonera

Hi David,

Joshua is out of the office today, so I'll be following-up on his behalf. The gen_204 links that you're seeing in your network traffic are used internally by the SDK and can safely be ignored. The behavior that you're seeing is working as intended.
