[IMA Android] Ad Error: Linear assets were found in the VAST ad response, but none of them matched the video player's capabilities.

Hi guys, 

I'm using this sample to test my IMA ad tag, but it always return "Ad Error: Linear assets were found in the VAST ad response, but none of them matched the video player's capabilities". I have searched but there is only a really old thread (from 2014), so I create a new one. Please check my ad tag. I will provide it in private to you.

Hi,

The error message that you are receiving indicates that the ads you are serving are not supported by your player. I would recommend that you reach out to your publisher to discuss and ensure that you only serve supported ads.

Thank you for providing your ad tag privately. I tested it using the AdvancedExample but I was not able to encounter any issues. That said, so I could further investigate this issue, could you provide to me the steps on how to recreate it?

So strange, I only replace my id to sample id(/124319096/external/single_ad_samples) in ad tag. It shows me event LOADED but cannot play because the error I mentioned.

Could you provide to me the complete logs and the steps I can use to replicate the issue when using the sample tag you provided? This will allow me to identify if the issues indeed originates from the IMA SDK.

I just updated IMA SDK to the lastest vesion and got the error "ImaSdkSettings is abstract; cannot be instantiated" when trying to run the sample. How do I fix this? 

This is my test apk file, after replacing my id to ad tag, and some line of log, I don't think the other log is necessary:

Hi,

The "ImaSdkSettings is abstract; cannot be instantiated" error you are getting appears to be a setup issue, you may reach out to the library owners via this link for further assistance. Also, thank you for sending your sample app. I was able to replicate the issue and got the "Ad Error: Linear assets were found in the VAST ad response, but none of them matched the video player's capabilities" message as well. 

This being said, this issue should be addressed by your publisher. You may refer to this guide for the compatibility documentation so your publisher can configure your ads based on the supported standards.
