How to get All Cue Points from StreamManager

Hi,

We are looking for a way to get all the possible cuepoints from the streamManager in DAI iOS SDK as we have it in Roku SDK  https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/roku/dai/apis#ima.StreamManager.getCuePoints

Is there any way for iOS SDK to know all the requested adSlots/cuepoints including those that doesn't get filled. Please let me know.

Currently, we are relying on the event CUE_POINTS_CHANGED but it's only returning those breaks which has ads. Precisely, we are looking for a way to get all requested adBreaks to be returned from SDK.

With regards to your concern, I believe you may utilize the adCuePoints method (https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/ios/dai/reference/Classes/IMAAdsManager#adcuepoints) as this will return list of content time offsets at which ad breaks are scheduled.

Let us know if this would fit to your use case.

Hi IMA team,

This does not fit our needs as in DAI, adsManager will be nil as we use dynamic ad insertion as defined here in your documentation . I’m wondering why it is missing from only iOS and tvOS sdks. I see that property is available for Roku and Android.

Please let me know what I could do to get the adCuePoints from streamManager.

Sure. We were having issues with our analytics and tracking purposes. It would be great if you could provide a way to retrieve the possible adbreak offset times requested. We were comparing our implementation with Roku/Android and they are able to do it effectively using that property available to them. It would be greatly appreciated if you could expose the same property for iOS and tvOS SDKs as well.

Hi Vivek,

I just received an update from the team regarding to your use case. They mentioned that you may use QUEUEPOINTS_CHANGED (https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/ios/dai/reference/Enums/IMAAdEventType.html#kimaadevent_cuepoints_changed) event. You should listen for this event in DAI implementations, and access the cuepoints with IMAAdEvent.adData[@"cuepoints"].

Thanks for the reply.

As you can see my second email in this thread, we are already trying to use the same but it's only returning those breaks(adData["cuepoints"]) which only filled in with ads. Precisely, we are looking for a way to get all requested adBreaks to be returned from SDK including those are not filled in.

Can you please extend the same property that you have for ROKU and ANDROID sdks.
