Hi,

I am using Android IMA SDK v3.6.0. I am testing with sample ad tags given in IMA docs.

For the app requirement, we need to be able to control the mute/unmute state and autoplay behavior of video ads.
The app consists of a list of news articles between which ads will be inserted at some intervals. But unmuted video autoplay is causing an annoying experience. We want to give this control to the user.

I am not able to find any setting for this. Could you help point me in right direction?

Thanks,

Hi,

The IMA SDK for Android does not offer an API to control ad volume as Android apps don't typically control their own volume. If you need more fine-grained control, I'd recommend looking into using Custom ad playback. Custom ad playback allows you to play ads directly in your content player.
