Clickthrough blocked on IE8

Hi there,

We're experience an issue on IE8, where the popup is blocked on ie8
when clicking on a video ad. It is not blocked on firefox or safari.
Is this a known issue?
Are you planning to work around this, perhaps with javascript call?


It seems like ie8 does block popups triggered by the navigateToURL API
call in Flash, regardless of whether it is triggered by a click.

it's the same problem in

but no problem for me with IE8. only IE7 & IE6...
IE blocks navigateToURL 's calls only if the wmode parameter is define
in the embed / object

actually, I tried the tests at

http://labocreatif.orangepublicite.fr/tests/popup_blocker/

and it is blocked in ie8 when wmode=opaque or transparent.
My ie8 popup blocker is set to the default at medium.
