AdError 1009: Please Help!

Hello,

I am new here and have found this forum. When I run my given Ad Tag through the Video Suite Inspector, it does not run ads and instead I see only "AdError 1009: The VAST response 

I appreciate any help I can get as I am not too familiar with this process.

Hi there,

Could you privately send us your ad tag? Note that most issues with empty VAST responses are from the server side and you might want to receive support from Ad Manager help.

Michael here and I work along with Aryeh.

 

Upon testing the shared VAST Ad Tag url in our VSI, i noticed that it constantly returns AdError 1009: The VAST response document is empty. This error indicates that the ad was not served properly. Our recommendation would be to talk to your account manager or ad server representative to see why your ad tag is not working.

Hi Oalid,

Thank you for providing the details of your concern.

With regard to this, the VAST 1009 errors are reported when there are no video files or tracking events included in a returned VAST response. This error is likely due to either the publisher setup of the ad unit, or a trafficking error with the order or line item. With that, we would recommend reaching out to your Ad provider for further assistance on your ad tag.

How can I setup an ad-unit? I tried many times. But it showing me the same error.

I'm afraid that setting up an ad unit is out of our scope as an SDK support team. If you are using Ad Manager, you may refer to the below articles:

 

Should you need further assistance on that, we would recommend reaching out directly to the publisher-support team as their specialist are more able to help you with this kind of queries.

 

On the other hand, if you are using a third party ad server, we would recommend reaching out to your account manager or server representative for further assistance on the configuration of your ad unit.
