     I'll start! I'm Stephanie, and very (very!) new to Google+. I've been on a few Facebook Sabbaticals before, and each was fantastic! I just never quite had the guts to press that delete button- until now. I've only been officially deleted for a few days, but hadn't been on it for four months before I made the decision.

 

     Other than that, I am anything I want myself to be. I try to make the most out of life, and I make sure I do it on my terms. There's a fine balance between to being simple yet interesting, and that's the balance I'm striving to achieve.

I'll go next, my name is Arty and I still havnt deleted my Facebook
but I know I problely will in the future because Facebook is getting
to over rated with youngens and are screwing it up. I started Google
plus to see what it was about but its barely starting off. So I think
I'm going to stick around for a bit to see what happens lol. And there
are no limits to what I would try and hopefully it gets better or I'll
just avoid any social network and go to bars like the old days lol

YEEEE Not on Facebook anymore have not been for about 4 months now!!!!! I have almost relapsed multiple times but holding strong!!!! I love the games on google+! Why are ya'll here!??!?!?!?!??!

I've been off of Facebook for a couple of weeks now. I hesitated
doing it before because I wanted to keep up with friends but except
for a few it was boring. Not that my friends are boring (ha ha!), but
no one really had much to say and it quite simply it's probably the
fault of Facebook and their privacy shenanigans--who is going to trust
them? And like others on here I just found the posts, game statuses,
and other junk was just too much. Yes, I could have tweaked it down
but (here we go again) what if FB changes some funky setting that
voids my change in the future or worse? The way I see it my friends
are my friends and they still are so nothing really lost in my mind.
If anything I have reclaimed my time!

Btw, I only deactivated my account. I didn't delete it. I like the
friend list I've built and that is the only reason I did not delete
it. I thought maybe I would snag some emails of some folks in the
future by temporarily reactivating it. I just didn't feel like doing
it now and yet I wanted to be off FB and not worry about junk being
posted somehow on my wall due to an FB change or whatever. I thought
deactivation would be a nice middle of the road solution between
turning off wall posts from others versus the actual delete.

I was on Facebook for about 4 years but really just active for about 3
years. I always deleted my older wall posts and pics too because I
liked keeping people's focus on the current and minimizing folks time
on reading cause I'm sure they have better things to do with their
time. Help peeps help themselves! :)

Facebook is just to inflexible for my liking. I think G+ has greater
potential and that's where I'll be :)
