6:00 pm – 7:30pm ET
ROOM E62-262
TOPIC:
“The Rise of Global Hotspots and their Investment Implications”
Unusually turbulent economic times and the subsequent potential for social unrest could result in “global hotspots.” PIMCO will be on campus to provide MBA students with an overview of key global regions to monitor as it relates to current structural problems, questionable policy decisions, and increasingly unstable global populations. This discussion will also focus on the investment implications of this market environment. There will be plenty of time to answer student questions, and we encourage students of various backgrounds to attend.
Presented by:
Chitrang Purani, Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, New York
Mr. Purani is a senior vice president in the New York office and a portfolio manager focusing on insurance accounts. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, he was a fixed income portfolio manager at PNC Capital Advisors. Mr. Purani also worked as a corporate finance analyst with National City Corporation and as a senior consultant in the strategy and transformation group at Ernst & Young. He has 13 years of investment and financial services experience and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University.
