Congratulations to Stacey Shi for representing MIT Sloan so well in the Thomson Reuters Master the Markets competition.  Stacey came in 5^th place out of 530 participants from all schools!  Congratulations Stacey and all the MIT Sloan participants!!!

I hope you’re doing well?

 

I‘d like to thank you again for helping promote the Thomson Reuters Eikon Master the  Markets competition. We ended up with 13 participants from Sloan (out of a total of 530 from all schools). Stacey Shi won an iPad as the top performer from Sloan, ranking 5^th overall (behind only one student from Dartmouth-Tuck and three from Northwestern-Kellogg) . As one of the overall top 5 Stacey will also receive an individualised 20 page trader analysis pack detailing the strengths and weaknesses of her trading style. On a school P&L basis, Sloan ranked 14^th (of 22). I’ve attached a performance summary for Sloan which you might find of interest.

 

I was also wondering if you have any comments or have received any feedback on Master the Markets? We hope that students found the competition to be an enjoyable and educational experience but are sure we could improve on both areas. As this was our first year running it we are very open to making changes that would increase the appeal to students in future.
