Hi,
I have removed Windows XP, and installed Debian wheezy RC in a computer in my office. We need to print the mails so, was configuring the printer we have. It is Sharp AR-M205 printer cum copier. It is connected through USB and configured using CUPS as follows:
-------------------------
Description:    Sharp AR-M205
Location:    Office
Driver:    Sharp AR-M205 PS Foomatic/Postscript (grayscale, 2-sided printing)
Connection:    usb://Unknown/Printer?interface=1
Defaults:    job-sheets=none, none media=iso_a4_210x297mm sides=one-sided
-------------------------
But when I send the test page to the printer in returns a message: "Unable to send data to printer." No printing occurs. I searched for the solution, but didn't find any one. It was printing with Windows XP earlier without any problem. What it went wrong in Debian?
I checked as follows:
-------------------------
user@terminal0:~$ lpstat -r
scheduler is running
user@terminal0:~$ lpstat -d
no system default destination
user@terminal0:~$ lpq
lpq: Error - no default destination available.
-------------------------
When I checked /var/log/syslog
It shows:
-------------------------

-------------------------
I also checked the log files access_log, error_log and page_log,
in /var/log/cups/ which are attached herewith. I can't figure out where lies the problem. Can anybody help me?

Hi,

When I Tried to configure it through Printer properties through GNOME,

It shows and error message as follows:

-------------------
Error
Option 'printer-resolution' has value '(unknown IPP tag)' and cannot be edited.
-------------------
Is it the problem? Then how to fix it?
