I don't think its the problem with CD.
Same problem happened with 2 of my friends' system.
They first used my own disk (worked perfectly for me & 5 others) and then their disks, the problem occurred in both cases. Well one of them fixed it with bit of cleaning the RAM. For the other the problem is still there.
I don't think the disk got corrupted after repeated usage, because the disk worked even on the latest attempt.

Anyway its better to check the CD against md5 checksum as Subin said. Then try cleaning the RAM, it might work.
