I set the "record from input" choice as Mix and just press record.
Mute your microphone when you record.
That's it. Save it as ogg.

My sound recorder does not seem to have the Mix option for input. But I
tried with Capture. It recorded, but the sound quality had deteriorated
significantly.

Firefox addon is a good one. You can download youtube videos and
similar ones and have them converted directly to avi or any other
format.

my friend Alvin george has written a beautiful one line script to download flash videos played firefox........
create a folder named flv in the home folder.
copy the attached file to home folder or anywhere...
make it executable (u can use command chmod u+x flvcopy2)
just execute ./flvcopy2 to copy the flash video files to ~/flv folder

You can get the necessary flash player for Linux from adobe's website
as a tar package. On exctracting it you will find the necesary
instructions for installing.I believe you should change to the
directory where you extracted the package and then run the binary file
as root
