You can install riot app from riot.im Matrix is a new decentralized messaging protocol with Free Software client and server. We also have a matrix server hosted in India, diasp.in

Those who are on telegram can join @ilug_alpy and it is bridged to the
same room (telegram users can talk to matrix users and vice versa). If
you join, just say hi, so we at matrix side can see you have joined.
