Session in College of Engineering, Chengannur

Hi All,

A discussion/session on open source is organized in College of Engineering, Chengannur on next Monday at 9:30. 

Topics will include Politics/Philosophy of free software, career and entrepreneur opportunities in free software etc. Also planning to reshape the sessions based on the participant feedback. 

Praveen Arimbrathodiyil (http://www.j4v4m4n.in/)  will be leading the session.

Sorry for the delay in updating.

Session in  College of Engineering, Chengannur was interesting.

We talked about free software politics, models, licences, career, entrepreneur opportunities etc..   

We did a small demo of free software tools and useful commands. 

We also introduced few projects like diaspora, chamba etc.. 

Students were mostly from Computer science department.  They will be busy with their exams for sometime from now.
