From the exercises, is there a stripped down version of the text-editor/console real-time preview available for offline use?
I am aware that DevTools has Live Expression in the Console but the console on freeCodeCamp is more accessible for myself.

That is what I am asking here. Since the javascript live-preview is functional stand-alone on the client-side, meaning can work offline, then that means it can be made accessible, without too much fuss I suspect . The code needed is already there within the browser so moving that over to an IDE or installing more things seems unnecessary. It ought to be a simple thing to someone who knows, hence the question here on the forum.

If you want a JavaScript console that allows you to run functions, you can use the DevTools console or you can install the NodeJs. If you want an editor that is connected to a console, you can use an online tool or you can install a text editor and NodeJs. If you want freeCodeCamp offline, you can clone the repo and run a local instance.

Being able to copy and paste and see results instantly is what I am aiming for. If I change one character in the script, the FCC console shows the effects(and potential errors) and this is so helpful for wrapping my head around how javascript works. Having an offline webpage that can be used for testing javascript in real-time is ideal.

This is an excellent tool, I sent an email to the creator last year thanking them for making this available. I had been searching all over looking for something like an offline Codepen/jsfiddle and was convinced someone, somewhere had made one. It works perfect for understanding how HTML/CSS (along with javascript) work but not so much on for standalone javascript(details about errors and console logging). Something like that would be an indispensable tool if made available in the way WebmakerApp has been offline.

A text editor is a computer program that allows programmers to create, modify, and edit plain text files. It is used by programmers to construct computer software, edit programming language source code, modify hypertext markup language (HTML), and generate web pages or web design templates. It comes as an offline or online text editor and helps developers and user experience (UX) designers personalize and improve firm web and apps to fit the demands of consumers and clients.

A free online text editor may need account registration. You can get access to all editing choices, utilities, and typefaces. You can even change file formats without spending a dime. One drawback of online coding is that it is less secure than offline editors.

The tech stack we are useing for these offline applications is nodejs with mongodb database.
The scenario i was thinking of is; we use a webhook to notify api endpoint that there is an entry published and that endpoint is getting content via html api to retrieve the content html.
This content html we are saving into mongodb to be shown on our offline applications(intranet and digital signage screens)

That's it! Suddenly you have an editable web page. In Chrome you can even use keyboard shortcuts to make text bold or italicized. If you hit Command or Control S you can save it to your computer. It's also simple to bookmark and works offline.

There are various tools to achieve this offline. I personally use Livereload(free) in the past and it works pretty well. Basically, you tell it to watch a folder on your machine and go into the browser and activate the browser extension. Now everytime you save changes to say an HTML or CSS file, it is automatically updated in the browser without refreshing.

I wanted to use playcanvas completely offline, i came to know that editor is not available offline but the engine can be installed. I couldnt find any documentation or tutorials on how to use the engine offline. For now, I have downloaded the engine and used npm i and npm build and the build is complete. If anyone could guide me on creating a basic blank scene from here, it would be much appreciated. I dont have much prior knowledge in js and js libraries. Thank you

The Blocks Programming environment is normally used while your computer is connected to your Robot Controller phone or REV Control Hub via Wifi and using a Web Browser where the phone or hub is serving as a miniature web server. To cover the possibility that you want to make changes to your opmodes when you cannot connect to your robot you can download an offline Blocks Editor and use it to make your changes and then transfer the revised opmodes back to your robot later. Here are the steps you can use to accomplish this:

If your institution has enabled offline content, you can view your course offline as an HTML file. You can download the HTML file from the Modules page and view any content available in each module. Currently HTML files can only be generated in the browser version of Canvas and are only supported on a computer.

HTML offline content is for offline viewing only; you cannot interact with course content directly, such as completing an assignment or viewing any submissions. In the HTML file, you can view assignment details, availability dates, and point values. Discussions and quizzes only include the description. All discussion replies (graded or ungraded) are considered submissions and must be viewed online. Additionally, you can view any embedded media files in the HTML file. If a link can only be accessed online, the link includes an external icon identifying the content as online only.

Content items within modules are available if you have permission to view them. However, content items locked by modules or by date are not included in offline content and show that the content is not available.

The rich text editor control is available when you're working offline, although without some of the features and functionality you're used to. Images that you upload using the editor's default configuration aren't available when you're working offline.

I thought I have every utility known to man but :) I seem to be missing an offline registry editor. I restore an image backup (Windows 11) to a computer and it boots with the black screen of death. According to articles I have read I just need to boot something that has an offline registry editor and disable one service. Is there any way to do this with a Windows Boot Media? If not can someone recommend a good offline registry editor?

The Base template creates the offline or online actions, rules, messages and an empty page (Main.page). After using this template, you can focus on creating your pages, other actions, and rules needed for your application. More details on MDK template is available in help documentation.

Regardless of whether you are creating an online or offline application, this step is needed for the app to connect to an OData service. When building an MDK application, it assumes the OData service created and the destination that points to this service is set up in Mobile Services (for Mobile consumption) and in Cloud Foundry cockpit (for Web consumption).

InitializeOffline.action: For Mobile applications, this action binds the application to the Mobile Services Offline OData server and downloads the required data to the offline store on the mobile device. For Web applications, it will initialize the service to be consumed in online mode.

DownloadOffline.action and UploadOffline.action: These actions are applicable to Mobile client only. Using Mobile app initialization, data is downloaded to the offline store. If you want to have the application download any updated data from the backend server or upload changed data to the backend server, these actions will be needed.
