Dear friends in the Lord,
I trust that we are all doing well and that we've started this year on
a good note.

Please help me with this: would you allow an unbeliever (like a
Muslim) to participate in a TTW? Has anyone of you dealt with such a
situation where an unbeliever wants to attend your TTW? And how did
you deal with that? Please help.

Love you all!

Chancy

Thanks Carolyn for the prompt response.

Here's the situation i had: one Dutch missionary asked me to train her in adult literacy. So i organized a TTW including a few others from my Church. And then she invited her friend who happened to be an unbeliever. She openly confessed that she was not religious at all and smoked during breaks. She wasn't sure whether she had to attend the workshop but ended up being very excited about the program. At the end she confessed that she has never come across such a great and practical literacy program. Though she is "unreligious," she said she doesn't mind using this curriculum. She owns a primary school and has some community programs reaching out to a village close to where she stays. Most of the people in the village are illiterate according to her. So she asked me if i could train her teachers some time in future so that they can use this program in this village. Now my concern has been, some (or all) of her teachers may be unbelievers (even Muslim) because where we are is a predominantly Muslim area. That's why i asked the question to find out if you have had similar experiences.

Blessings,

Hi Chancy,
It’s your call really….typically we don’t train non-believers but occasionally some LEI workers have done it…..in some cases, I’ve even heard testimonies of those people coming to Christ as a result of the literacy ministry.

Hello ILTI friends!

I hope you all are doing well. Greetings to you in Jesus' Name!

I am writing to share some happy news - I'm engaged! I met my fiance, Sam, at a TTW! Can you believe it? The Lord is truly doing things in our lives, when we don't realize it. It's been such a happy and exciting time.

Sam and I met in Accra, Ghana in November 2012. We have been going through the process to bring him to the US in July. It has been a long journey, but he will finally arrive in a few weeks!

I'm so happy to share this with all of you, especially how God has used my involvement in literacy ministry to bring me my husband. What an unexpected blessing! I know the Lord has special plans in store for us and in our service as a married couple. Please remember us in your prayers!

Love to you all. May God bless you!
