It is a great pleasure to announce the 15th Annual National Level One Week Training Programme for the Library Support Staff (LSS) and Library & Information Science Freshers, entitled “EMERGING TRENDS AND TECHNOLOGIES IN ACADEMIC LIBRARIES: HANDS ON SKILLS FOR LIBRARY SUPPORT STAFF & LIBRARY and INFORMATION SCIENCE FRESHERS” (“शैक्षणिक ग्रंथालयांमधील उदयोन्मुख कल आणि तंत्रज्ञान: आधुनिक ग्रंथालयासाठी नविन कार्यक्षमता- ग्रंथालय सहाय्यक कर्मचारी आणि नवोदित ग्रंथालय व माहितीशास्त्राचे स्नातक यांच्याकरिता एकाआठवड्याचे प्रशिक्षण वर्ग”) in the month of December 2023.
Employees need re-skilling to improve their proficiency so as to help them play their roles better. With this objective, for this year the overall theme chosen is: “Job Satisfaction and Progressing at Work”. This training programme will combine traditional functions and operations of the library and emerging technologies, focusing on the provision of innovative and effective services to the users. Participants will learn to create gainful solutions to achieve satisfaction at work along with building their careers as efficient Librarians. The focus will be on providing Effective and Innovative Services to the library users, employing library software applications, digitisation, networking and virtual reference sources. The training programme will as well include enhancing their personality through soft-skills development workshop aiming to inspire and motivate the participants to sharpen their skills in this domain.
This training programme is specially designed for Library Clerks, Library Attendants and Peons, and freshers in library and information science with experience working in libraries for less than two years or those who have recently passed out MLISc course from any university.
I request the authorities to kindly depute your library support staff and also forward this to freshers in library and information science you may know for this training program.

Registration Charges:1100/- per participant Rs.600/- for students
Medium of Instructions : Marathi/Hindi
Dates : From 23rd & 26th to 30th December 2023
Timings: 9.30a.m. to 5.00p.m.
Venue: RamniranjanJhunjhunwala College Library, Ghatkopar (W), Mumbai 400086.
Last Date of Registration: 21st December 2023.
