Maharashtra: State Mandates Higher Education Institutes To Publicly Disclose Information On Fees, Faculty & Facilities Before Admissions
The state government has issued instructions for higher education institutes in Maharashtra to publicly disclose information about fees, teachers, and facilities on their websites at least 60 days before admissions. The move is part of the University Grants Commission (Students Grievance Redressal) Rules 2023, aimed at bringing transparency in the education system. The institutes must provide a list of courses, syllabus, seats approved, admission process, fees deposits, and teaching faculty details. Most public universities in the state have been mentioned in the default list.
