Hi,

I'm going to buy an extra SD card and I'd like to know:

Will ILO256 really work with 1Gb SD cards? (I mean will it store and
play?)
What brands were tested?
Does this card should be (or could be) a high speed card?

Thanks a lot.

Here's the master list:

It could be a high speed card, that never hurts. But we haven't tested
too many high speed cards yet, so it might be best to stick with what's
in the list.

Oh, and yes it does really work with 1GB cards (well, the ones in the
list anyway).

I would also add as others have on the list before have stated that the brand which seems to have given iLo's in the past the greatest problems in the past is Lexar. What has the fewest? That is hard but just surveying other manufacturers of SD playing MP3 players you would have to come to conclusion that it would have to be Sandisk. Sandisk is the largest seller of SD cards in the world and is the logical card for a SD MP3

I don't know anyone who has tested a 2GB card on the iLo's. 2GB is the limit for any current SD MP3 player because of the SD specs. 4GB cards are not really based on any common SD spec but only on an assumption that any new spec will endorse using FAT32. Since all current SD players use FAT16 that makes them incompatible with 4GB cards.
