The National Democratic Training Committee (NDTC) is looking for interns on an ongoing basis to assist with our daily operations and goal of empowering Democrats who want to run for office.

Within this paid internship, interns are responsible for supporting various facets of the office. They are expected to work with all team members and various projects, including but not limited to:

• Communications
  • Research
  • Social Media management
  • Writing
• Operations
  • Research
  • Administrative tasks
  • Managing inventory
  • Writing
• Trainings
  • Research
  • Logistics
  • Writing

Internship Details

Internships with NDTC are paid $15 per hour with an expected commitment of at least 15–20 hours a week. Our offices are in downtown Chicago, however, we are currently working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The spring internship will run from January 10 – May 26, 2022.

Ideal Candidates

The ideal candidate must be efficient, well-organized, and have a sense of humor. We do not expect interns to come in and know everything, but we do expect an enthusiasm to learn and be a part of our team.

We are looking for people who can multi-task, work well with deadlines, follow the news, and are strongly committed to Democratic ideals. Candidates with excellent oral and written communication skills are preferred. Any campaign experience is highly desirable!

We are generally flexible with school schedules. If you are enthusiastic and excited about politics and local elections, this is a wonderful opportunity for growth.
