Hey Google Group! Let's all get together for a week or more of climbing! What could be better?
The UIUC climbing club is now 10 years old and James Fran (aka: "hot-dang" James) thought it was high time we all got back together. From new members to seasoned fogies, everyone is welcome and encouraged to come join us around the campfire. Catch up with old friends and make new ones as we all share that common experience of learning to climb in the midwest.
The plan is to meet up around the second week in August (8th - 19th ish) at the Longs Peak Campground in the RMNP. From there we will do what we do best! Come for a week, come for a day, just get yourself out there. Climbing of all flavors abounds, so set your sights now.
I hope this post can help people sort out their logistics finding rides and climbing partners. PLEASE SHARE THIS EVENT! if not on bookface then please please please call up anyone and everyone you think might want to head out to meet up with us and forward them to this google group.
***In the event we overcrowd longs, as it is prime season in August, there is forest service camping just down the road.
