  Congratulations to Ginger Creek players who placed in the District 8 finals of the Grand National Teams, held on April 27-28:
      Flight C:  1 - Nancy Rader, Linda Sloat & Christie Roszkowski (with Anne Wildrick of Jacksonville IL)
      Flight A:  3 - Peter Ashbrook, Milt Epstein, Lisa Bievenue & Tony Curtis
      Championship flight:  1 - Nate Ward, Mike Halvorsen & Karen Walker (with Tod Moses & Sue Perez of St. Louis and Richard Blumenthal of Crystal Lake IL)
      The first-place Rader & Ward teams won travel awards to represent District 8 in the national finals in Toronto, Canada in July.

  Detour
     Sometime soon, IDOT will be closing part of Springfield Avenue to replace and widen the bridge over the Copper Slough (near the Kaufman Lake entrance). If you're coming from the east, you won't be able to use Springfield Avenue to get to the club.
    Springfield Avenue will be open west of Kaufman Lake. Easiest detour is to drive west on John Street, north on Duncan Road, then east on Springfield Avenue.
