This photo was taken a couple of days ago at the garbage dump. The wind direction has been favourable to us for some time now. however with the wind direction changing the smoke has started to come in more frequently. The barriers set up by HUDA are all down now and once again it is getting to a free for all situation.
I guess we have to learn to live with these aberrations and accept them as part of life in DLF which is still better off than many areas around.

Sometime back, Prabhat had mentioned to me that the
dumping at the new site would commence in a few months' time. I do hope that
that is on track and the villagers there will not create problems.

Comrades, the Garbage dump has fought back well from the thrashing we all gave it last year on the 22nd of September,2008.
It has shattered all boundaries/fences and is back on the roads with vengeance and has re-captured Huda's Kuda Chowk with its army of flies,dogs,cows and stench.Garbage is now dumped right next to the road to Faridabad and the foul smell emanating from it is now routine in G block.
I think its time for us to regroup and approach the DC this week to ensure the garbage is pushed back into the ditch with cranes and fumigated properly.
