Dear Friends,

Memories of "Kachra Chowk" are still fresh in the minds of all of us. A similar situation is going to be repeated as the MCG is attempting to put a garbage collection centre just behind G Block.Some residents met the MCG Commissioner recently asking him to stop this proposal but he just dismissed them saying that if it is a problem for the residents they must stay at home. You all would agree that once such a garbage depot is set up we will have a serious health hazard.The gas and the leachate from this dump will contaminate soil, air and water. This will seriously affect all of us.Also to set up such a garbage centre, they will cut a lot of trees which is bad for the environment.

We had a meeting at G Block park today morning to discuss this serious issue.Mr Rathee our councillor also had come.To protest against this step by MCG we the residents of G, H Blocks and SilverOaks will demonstrate at MCG office next week.Your participation in this protest in large number is necessary to stop this activity.

We will soon inform you about the date and time of demonstration.
