Mariposa County Sheriff's Office and Mariposa County officials ask for help identifying those responsible for dumping tires on Colorado road.
Message from Mariposa County Sheriff's Office:
Gross! We often talk a lot about being tough on those creeps who come to our community to cause harm. Trashing our community like this ranks right up there with theft and drug crimes.
Our beautiful rural mountains should be kept that way!
Please take advantage of the Public Works free tire dump days!
If you have any information about this please contact our office or leave us an anonymous tip using our Mariposa Sheriff App available in the Apple Store or Google play store.
Message from Mariposa County:
Hey Mariposa, we need your help!
Our Public Works teams were alerted to this wonderful mess left on Colorado road. While we also like to get the wheels rolling for a good time, we get a little deflated seeing our community trashed. We do our best to tread lightly and leave no trace, but these kind folks must have forgotten that. Thanks to our wonderful team for spending a huge part of their day clearing up this wreck, your time and dedication to Mariposa County is very appreciated.
If you have any information about the great people who left this mess for our Roads Crew to clean up please give the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office a call at 1-209-966-3615.
We’d also like to share with these resources for proper tire disposal, https://calrecycle.ca.gov/tires – as a reminder the Mariposa County Landfill currently accepts tires without rims in Mariposa, every Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., and at the Don Pedro transfer station, Thursdays and Saturdays, during normal business hours.
