Hello,

First, thank you for the ilincs website, it is great!

However, I am encountering an error when I try to upload a signature.

If I try using the “Submit up and down-regulated genes, I get this message after entering a couple thousand genes into the Up-regulated genes list and in the Down-regulated genes list and clicking “submit signature”.

I also get an error when trying to upload the signature into the “Upload a signature” tab. Here I download “sample4” and try putting my gene symbols and Log2FC values into the columns in the sample data. Whether I try uploading as a csv or as a tab delimited txt file.

In fact, even if I download your example file “sample4.csv” and try uploading it as a csv or as a tab delimited txt file it fails.

Thank you for any help.

Best,
Josh

Hi Josh,
We went through all steps that you outlined, including submission of the file you shared and everything works fine in our hands. Our administrator did notice that your error message indicates the source of the problem being your browser/antivirus/institution doesn't allowing "PATCH" as an HTTP method. ( PATCH -- status 405 (Method not allowed)). I would try doing the same from another location (eg from home, or cell phone hot spot) to isolate the problem (browser/antivirus/institution). We have several users from U of Toledo, so I don't believe it is institutional, so it is likely antivirus (try disabling), or the browser (try a different browser).
Hope this helps.
Mario
